Folk music concert. Roger Tallroth & Esko Järvelä Duo
Roger Tallroth is a Swedish guitarist best known for his dazzling career as a member of the group Väsen. Roger is one of the musicians who has had the greatest influence on the development and internationalisation of Nordic folk music.
Esko Järvelä is a musician from Kaustinen. Esko is widely known as a creative and versatile violinist, but his broad range of instruments also includes the nyckelharpa, double bass, piano, harmonium and guitar. In addition to his musical skills, he is also known for his sharp talent as a composer.
Tallroth & Järvelä Duo has performed for almost thirty years. In their duo work, deep knowledge of the folk tradition, fresh and lively interpretation, and seamless interplay turn the guitar and violin into one sparkling and organic instrument that breathes Nordic folk music in every fibre.
